Obtain Copies of Business Documents

A business may need copies of its documents on file with the Secretary of State for various reasons, such as obtaining business licenses or working with a financial institution.

Documents Available Online

To view or print copies of documents online, follow these steps:

• Visit Business Entity Search
• Enter the business name or business entity identification number for the business for which documents are needed
• Select the appropriate business from the results displayed
• Select the ‘View History and Documents’ tab to view documents associated with the business
• Select the icon under “Documents” to view and print documents

Documents Available by Mail

For documents ordered by mail, the fee is $1.00 per page.  For certified copies of documents, the fee is $15.00 plus $1.00 per page.  Complete the Copy Order Form (Form CO) and mail or fax the completed form and payment to:

Obtain a Certificate of Good Standing (CGS)

A Certificate of Good Standing (CGS) verifies a business has met its filing requirements with the Secretary of State.  A CGS may be required to conduct certain business activities, such as applying for a loan.

CGS Available Online

A CGS is available online from the Secretary of State’s Office at: Certificate of Good Standing. The CGS can be printed from the website.  Certificates include an authentication code that allows a user to verify the certificate is valid.  The CGS fee is $10.00.

Make Changes to a Business on File with the Secretary of State

Mailing Address
A business may change a mailing address on file with the Secretary of State here. 
Note:  Changing the mailing address does not change the resident agent/registered office address.  Change this information online.

CGS Available by Mail

To order a CGS by mail complete the Copy Order form (Form CO) available at: Filings & Forms – Business Entities. The fee for a CGS is $15.00.  Mail or fax the completed form and payment to:
